How To Get A Flat Stomach
This is something almost every woman wants to know and let me tell you, it doesn't come easy. For those with a fast metabolism, maybe. Let's face it though... A lot of us ladies are definitely not blessed in that area which means we have to work ten times harder to achieve that sexy flat stomach. When it all comes down to it though, it's totally worth it! We feel great, we look great and we have the confidence to sport our new looking bods on the beach. Or you know...in the bedroom for that special someone. ;)
To achieve that flat stomach you will have to sacrifice some of the things you love (not forever though) just for the time being. This means giving up all those processed foods. Basically, anything that looks like it's come from a factory, as well as things like white sugar, white bread, and white salt. There are things you can replace these beloved things with though. Good news...right?
If you are super dedicated to achieving the body shape you want, then trust me...this will seem like no big deal. So, let me tell you what you can replace all those unnecessary bad sugars and trans fats with.
1) Switch processed sugars for natural ones. This obviously means eating fruit...and who doesn't love eating fruit? My personal favorites are blueberries and mangos. Super yummy and so healthy for you. Just be sure you don't consume too much fruit because although it's good for you, it can contain a lot of sugars. Too much of a good thing can be bad. Make sure to get in an equal amount of veggies. This brings me to my next tip!
2) Replace frozen meals with veggies. Even though some of them may not be so bad for you, you will still get so many more nutrients and vitamins from fresh, natural veggies. If pizza is something that you love and can't see giving up...well here's an alternative!
Cauliflower Pizza! Whaaat?! Haha, it actually tastes pretty damn good. Obviously not as delicious as stuffed crust pizza, because you know that is just the most amazing thing known to mankind! Am I right?! Haha, anyways.... Give this recipe a try. I'm sure you'll love it!
You'll need:
2 to 2 1/2 cups cauliflower grated ( I use a food processor, but you can use a cheese grater)
1/2 tsp of dried oregano
1/2 tsp of dried basil
1/2 garlic powder
1/4 tsp herb and garlic powder
1/4 cup fat free shredded cheese (or low fat if you can't find fat free)
Pink Himalayan Salt (this has so many amazing benefits which I'll discuss later)
1 egg slightly beaten
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425F
Place cauliflower in microwave safe dish and cover with plastic wrap. Poke a few holes for venting. Leave it in for about 4 minutes then remove plastic and stir to cool it off a bit.
Then, place cauliflower in a mesh strainer and press with a spatula to release some of the water. Use paper towel to press down on it some more to push out any remaining liquid.
Place cauliflower back in a bowl and fluff with a fork then add the cheese and spices. Add salt according to taste. Pink Himalayan salt is very potent, so be careful. I learned the hard way...haha.
Press mixture onto parchment paper sprayed with coconut oil (or brushed) about 1/4 inch or slightly thicker. Make sure mixture is tight and in an even layer. No one wants a funky looking mess. :P
Place in oven and bake until golden brown. I find ovens temperatures vary a lot, so be sure to keep an eye on your "pizza" crust. 15-20 minutes should do it. Remove when you have the desired brownness on crust and then top with your favorite pasta sauce and veggies.
I love using things like spinach, lean chicken breast, pineapple, fat-free cheese.

There are a few more tips I would like to give you ladies before I leave you questioning yourselves about how to get that lean sexy stomach. We already went over two of them so here is tip three.
3) Exercise! This is an important one that shouldn't be avoided. If you want that sexy looking stomach then not only is a good diet important...but so is staying active. Below I will list some workout regimens you can implement into your daily routine. And yes, I said daily. Hard work pays off if you stay dedicated and that means working on your goals every day!
Plyometrics, aerobics, swimming, HIIT are all great ways to slim down. To burn away at that fat you want to get your heart rate going and work up a good sweat. Make sure your workouts last at least 30 minutes. This will guarantee a consistent fat loss. Just make sure to change up your workout routine so your body doesn't get used to it. When your body gets used to doing the same thing every day it doesn't shock it therefore not forcing it to burn away at the necessary fats.
Also, make sure to incorporate weight training...because as I discussed in one of my last blogs, it is key to burning away unwanted fat. When you build muscle, it helps melt away that nasty stuff that makes us feel less than attractive and we want to feel great about ourselves...am I right?!
4) Shots! Of apple cider vinegar that is. Haha, you probably thought I was talkin about some of that liquid courage. Well...noooope! That stuff WILL give you a gut. So stay away from it! I mean it. Instead, take a shot of apple cider vinegar in the morning in an empty stomach. This stuff is amazing for fat loss! The acids in it literally act as a fat burning monsta! Haha. Die fat!*insert evil laugh here*
5) Lemon water. This helps curve your cravings by adding flavor to your water and as you may already know....water fills you up, right? If you times your weight by .7 this will give you the amount of water you need to take in. Drinking some good ol' H2O will help cut down the pounds not only because it decreases cravings, but also because it gets rid of bad toxins which we pee out later. So really...peeing can make you lose weight! Imagine that!
Welp, there it is. Your 5 tips to a flatter stomach. If only using a panini press to flatten them could work, eh?
