Carbs... Are They Good Or Bad?



Ah, yes.... Carbs. I sure do love those things! The question is though, are they good for us or are they bad? Keep reading to find out!

So there are two types of these guys. There are your complex carbs and your simple carbs. Which one do you think would be the better choice? If you guessed complex, then you're right! Complex carbs are the ones you want to feed your body with because they are full of all those nutrient-rich fibers which our bodies crave. Simple carbs, on the other hand, are filled with a bunch of unnecessary sugars that can be harmful to us. How, you might be wondering? Well... They actually digest really quickly and the energy from these particular carbs is stored as glycogen and if not used quickly is also stored as fat. This is why staying away from processed foods, soda (and any sugary drinks) as well as alcohol, is a good idea. Although, treating yourself once in a while isn't too detrimental to your health, make sure to get in a bit of exercise to burn off any bad fats you may have consumed.

If you're curious as to what you should be eating so you can get your complex carbs in, well... That would be all your natural foods that are grown fresh from the ground provided by this place we call earth. When we consume foods that are naturally grown, our bodies have a positive reaction to them, therefore making it easier for us to function properly. Feed the body with toxic things, and you will become a walking, toxic mess on legs.

Think of it this way for a moment, the complex carbs are the good guys trying to keep us alive and healthy, and the simple carbs are the bad guys trying to destroy us by keeping in all those toxins as stored fat. Well, we don't want those toxins being stored inside us, so what we need to do is eat a diet that consists of things such as fruits, veggies, grains, and nuts. This dramatically changes the way our bodies work. Eat and live an unhealthy lifestyle though, and this will have adverse effects.

Pros of eating healthy:

-Better Metabolism
-Helps Fight Depression
-More Energy
-Better Sleep
-Better Cognitive Function
-Increases Intellectual Knowledge
-Increases Sex Drive
-Fights Diseases(Builds A Stronger Immune System)
-Clearer Skin
-Strengthens Enamel
-Helps Hair Growth
- It's Just...Amazing.

Cons Of Eating Unhealthy:

-Makes you lazy and tired-like literally almost all the time (Trust me...I used to be one of those people)
-Slow metabolism
-Causes weight gain
-Weakens Immune System
-Higher risk of obtaining diseases or cancers
-Causes skin breakouts like acne and hives
-Dry skin
-Depression
-Diabetes
-Weakens Enamel
-Hair loss
-Decreased sex drive
-Capability to function decreases
-Longevity of life decreases dramatically
-Causes Weakness
-Hopelessness
-Irritability
-Digestive Issues
-Causes heart problems
-Stress
- It basically ruins your life.

Ok! So now that I've given you the pros and cons... What do you think would be the better choice? I know you're smart enough to figure it out. You also now know what your complex V.S your simple carbs are. Remember, if you're going to indulge in a tasty treat or a meal heavily loaded with bad sugars and fats, you have to get your butt in gear by working it off with some HIIT or an intense exercise of some sort. Don't want to let that fat win! You must defeat it... You must let it beg for mercy and forgiveness...then just torch it until there is nothing left! Make fat regret the day it decided to stay in your body. Muahaha!
